Spice Road
Bold, earthy and unlike anything else in our range.
Spice Road comes from the region surrounding Lake Toba in Sumatra — the largest volcanic lake in the world, formed by one of the most powerful eruptions in Earth's history. Coffee growing here began during colonial times around 1696, and the exceptional growing conditions that the volcanic landscape provides have produced a completely distinctive style of coffee.
Processed using Giling Basah — the traditional Indonesian wet-hulling method — Spice Road has a huge body, very low acidity and a spicy, earthy character with hints of tobacco that make it unlike anything else we offer. This is a conversation-starting coffee for adventurous drinkers who want to explore the full spectrum of what coffee can be.
